STATION DESCRIPTION

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1956 (WNM)
THE STATION IS THE CENTER OF THE BASE OF A GOLD COLORED CROSS
AT THE CENTER OF THE TOP OF THE SPIRE OF THE HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC
CHURCH LOCATED AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF THE INTERSECTION OF
SOUTH VAN BUREN AND EAST WILSON STREETS IN THE EAST SECTION
OF BATAVIA. THE SPIRE IS A WOODEN STRUCTURE COVERED WITH GRAY
LATE SHINGLES AND IS ON THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF A CREAM COLORED
STONE BUILDING. THE HEIGHT IS ABOUT 110 FEET.
