DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1871 (CHB)
ON TOP OF CAP OF STANDPIPE, 180 FEET HIGH, AT CORNER OF GRAND
AVENUE AND FOURTEENTH STREET, ST. LOUIS. MARKED BY NAIL IN PLANK
NAILED TO TIMBERS WHICH ARE FRAMED IN BRICK MASONRY AT TOP OF
STANDPIPE. FOUR ARROWS POINTING TOWARD STATION ARE CUT IN TOP
OF IRON CAP OF STANDPIPE.
