The water at this mineral bath is quite salty and contains sulpher. This also means that the water is particularly buoyant and it doesn't take much effort to float around without sinking.

There are 2 indoor pools. Both of them use a system for sharing the water jets in which the jets are identified by a number. Bathers rotate from station to station. The rotation is synchronized by a bell and a light which flashes. I have seen this system used in other mineral baths in Southwest Germany. The 2 pools are :

The "Movement" pool - heated to 31° C is the largest of the two. As well as having water jet stations, there are two spouts pouring water which you use as a shoulder massage.

The Mediterraneum pool - heated to 34° is smaller. It also has the water jet stations.

The single outdoor pool is heated to 31° which feels a little chilly when the weather is cold outside.

There is also a sauna and a steam bath.

Swim suits are required in all areas of the spa including the sauna and steam bath.

The shy types may wonder, how does a visit to the spa work?

Come prepared with swimsuit, towel, and shower soap as these are not provided. When you enter the facility, you will see a counter where you pay the entrance fee which is €6.00 for 2 hours. You will receive a very small punch card which you then insert into a turnstyle. Once you insert it, you will be able to pass the turnstyle and the punch card will be spit out. You need to keep the punch card.

Proceed to the changing area where there are a number of cabins. You walk in on one side, change your clothes, and then walk out the other side to the pools. The cabin doors are locked while inside by a lever at the base of the cabin bench.

Once outside of the changing cabin, you will find the lockers with the keys hanging from them. (If the key isn't there, then it means the locker is already taken) Insert the punch card into the slot on the locker locking mechanism. This will allow you to remove the key, and lock the locker. (The punch card stays in the locker)

You then strap the key to your wrist.

Your entry time is recorded on the punch card.

Don't forget to take a shower before entering the pools.

When you're finished, you will need the punch card again to exit through the turnstyle.
