The Evesham Fire-Rescue Department consists of three stations (Marlton Fire Company #1, Kettle Run, and Kings Grant). The photo shows the original fire house in Marlton (Evesham Township), one of two building comprising Station 221/229 (Marlton Fire Company #1 and Evesham Emergency Medical Services). Built in 1901 along East Main Street to house a horse-drawn engine, it was moved back off the street in 1997 when the new fire house was constructed. It is still used today for Fire Prevention activities, and houses our 1927 Hale Fire Engine, which is still capable of fighting fires, but has not been used for this purpose since the 1970's.
Tours of either building can be arranged by contacting the Fire Administration office. For further information, see (
