I was out doing a little History tour today on the Civil War and the 10 mile strip.
There was a line drawn during the Civil War a strip 10 miles wide that became no man's land.
All houses and dwellings were burnt to the ground from the southwest corner of Missouri all the way north.
This is also the area William Quantrill and many other Outlaws used during their raids,in the name of war.
The Jayhawker's became famous here as well.
They chased the troops all the way south(Pea Ridge,Arkansas) and finally to defeat.
This one is not a logable benchmark.
