A tank, probably a M60A3, on display on the south lawn of the Marshall County Courthouse, Lacon, IL. From an Internet search, this tank is definitely a M60, and the closest match to various photos is a Model A3. Any identifying marks on the tank have been painted over, and there are no information plaques on or near it.
It has a 105 mm main gun and a 0.50 cal. and a 7.62 mm machine guns.
It is located near the main intersection in Lacon, Rt.26 and Rt.17, and is just off of the sidewalk on the south side of the courthouse. There are no apparent restrictions on viewing times.
