Trinidad was once a thriving town with a bank and a school. The school was incorporated into the Quincy school system. The Smith Brothers General Store is the only building remaining from the old town. There is a newer mini mart with fuel in the area. White Heron Winery is located on the hill above the town. Below the town is Crescent Bar which is a recreation area on the Columbia River. The area was carved out of the basalt by glaciation from the last ice age.
