The former use of this bathing facility remains uncertain to this day. One supposes that a sauna facility was located here. All known and accessible rooms were heated. The floor heating (hypocaustum) is unusually well preserved and together with the hollow tiles (tubuli) of the wall heating transformed the building into a gigantic reservoir of heat.
The furnace room (praefurnium) with its completely preserved barrel vaults gives a rare impression of a complete room.
Two rooms were heated with lukewarm air (tepidarium). The steambath (caldarium) contained a bathing pool (alveus). Another room served as a sauna. Nothing is known of the date of construction.
