Two lion statues, unofficially named Sawyer and Harris for the names displayed behind them, guard the entrance to the Oshkosh Public Library in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The Sawyer and Harris families provided funding for the library building which was constructed in 1899. Italian sculptor Gaetano Trentanove created the lions in 1912.
