An admission ticket of $38.00 allows visitors access to the Visitors Center grounds and exhibits including the National Astronaut Memorial; a tour of the Kennedy Space Center with stops at the Launch Pad 39 Observation Gantry and the Saturn V Center; and admission to the nearby United States Astronaut Hall of Fame.

Located at the visitor’s center, The Space Mirror Memorial, designated as a national memorial by Congress and President George Bush, was dedicated in 1991. The Astronaut Memorial honors the 24 U.S. Astronauts who gave their lives for space exploration. The names of the fallen astronauts from Columbia STS-107, Challenger STS-51L, and Apollo 1, as well as the astronauts from training and commercial airplane accidents are emblazoned on the monument’s 42 ½ foot high by 50-foot wide black granite surface as if to be projected into the heavens.

From the visitor’s center, visitors are transport by tour bus past the Vehicle Assembly Building and Launch Control Building to the Launch Pad 39 Observation Gantry. Here visitors get a view of the many launch pads used to send vehicles into space, including Shuttle Launch Pads 39A and 39B.

After departing the Observation Gantry visitors are transported to the Saturn V Center. Here visitors are treated to a full size Saturn V Rocket that powered the Apollo flights to the moon. Many of artifacts are on display including an Astronaut transport Vehicle, a replica of the Lunar Rover and a replica of Launch Control Room at the time of the Apollo 11 Launch.

Following you visit to the Saturn V Center, visitors are returned to the Visitor's Center where they can continue to explore the grounds or continue their visit a short distance away at the United States Astronaut Hall of Fame.

Visitors to the Kennedy Space Center should be prepared for security inspection while on the grounds. For security information concerning your visit to the Kennedy Space Center: (visit link)
