On November 22, 1963, President John F. Kennedy was assassinated while campaigning in Dallas, TX. President Kennedy was laid to rest here in Arlington National Cemetery three days later, on November 25. Kennedy's two deceased children were relocated here in December 1963 and his wife, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, joined him in May 1994.
Directly behind the makers, lies a 5 foot granite slab from which burns an eternal flame honoring the former President.
