This reference mark is located Skeleton Burn southeast of Bend. There is a metal post near the reference mark. This reference mark was set in 1997 following the Skeleton Fire which killed all the trees in the area. Only one of the original 1973 BTs (bearing trees) remained. The reference mark is located in Section 29 and is 39.1 feet from the Section Corner.
