If you go directly south from Detroit, what is the first foreign country you cross? Canada. Stump your friends with that one. The city is Windsor, Ontario, the southernmost city in Canada. Named after the city in Berksire, England, it was originally founded by the French and called "Petite Côte" (Little Coast). Nowadays it competes with Oshawa, Ontario (east of Toronto) as the motor city of Canada. Windsor is home to the headquarters of DaimlerChrysler Canada and the Dodge and Chrysler minivan assembly plant. Not to be left out, GM has a transmission plant and Ford has an engine plant in Windsor.
