Although few people would recommend SkyCity for their lunches or dinners, their breakfast is delicious. If you add in the fact that you got a free ride to the top of the Space Needle, it makes it almost affordable.
Breakfast is served in three courses - fresh squeezed juice and breads (scones and muffins), a starter platter of smoked salmon, mini bagels, herbed cream cheese, hot Dungeness crab dip, Lavosh flat bread, assorted cured meats, pineapple spears and fresh fruit, and finally an entree.
Their feature dish is SkyCity Eggs Benedict - signature crab cakes, poached eggs and Béarnaise resting over an English muffin, with roasted red potatoes. If you aren't a seafood lover there are many different entrees to choose from.
Although this is a pretty upscale place, it caters to tourists so you won't get any funny looks for wearing jeans. We've brought my son here yearly since he was 4 weeks old. The revolving restaurant and it's view usually keeps him pretty captivated but for a super active kid it might not be a good choice.
After breakfast continue up the elevator or stairs to the observation deck before you leave. Brunch is served only on Saturdays and Sundays. Adult price is $42.50 a person, children 10 and under are $15.95 each.
