This Shelter is located on 35 East Huron St. and Perry St.
This Shelter Has two sign. The one in front is high up.
The numbers are barely readable with a zoom lens.
The second sign I only found cause I looked both ways before I turned onto University Dr. This building has a loading dock that has a wood fence like wall added on, with an awning. just visible thru the gap between the awning and fence you can see the top of the sign. I parked, the checked out this sign. Cause of it's location above the loading dock doorway it is in MINT condition.
Looks like they just put it up. Capacity numbers are clearly readable. Numbers are 100. I was shocked how this sign barely aged in the approx 45 years it's been up.
I found a PD file that describes the building.
In 1990 it was federal surplus and is now used for Homeless vets and families
On the Michigan Page (page 76) it has a picture of the front of the building, you can see the Fallout Shelter Sign above the doorway.
