Science World is part of the Telus World Of Science. Also known as the Golf Ball, for it's shape. Built for Expo '86 in Vancouver, Science World had become a symbol for Vancouver. It has played home to many great exhibitions, such as Body Worlds 3, an exhibition of the human body, with many preserved human bodies, including diseased bodies, pregnant bodys, and men and women, on display.
Inside the "Golf Ball" is the Omnimax Imax theatre, one of the biggest imax theatres in the world. THis theatre plays movies such as Hurricane on the Bayou, Greece, and Shackleton.
Science world is home to many permanent exhibitions as well, including the Body Works Gallery, Eureka, Illusions, Kidspace Gallery, Our world Gallery, and the Sara Stern Gallery.
Science World puts on daily kid-friendly science shows about anything from chemistry to melting metal. The museum has storage lockers available for day use, many public washrooms, White Spot Triple O's Restaurant, and a fabulous view of False Creek.
