Long Description:This nine acre park is located in an area that was previously
undeveloped waterfront and industrial sites adjacent to Seattle’s
Myrtle Edwards Park. The park will open in January of 2007 with 22
sculptures, giving residents and visitors the opportunity to
experience sculpture in an outdoor setting while enjoying the
incredible views and beauty of the Olympic Mountains and Puget
Sound. It is sited along a zig zagging plan that crosses Elliot
Avenue and continues down to the water. The shore features a strip
of restored beach. The park was designed by Weiss/Manfredi
Architects and amenities include a pavilion and café, underground
parking and an ampitheatre.
The webpage is part of Seattle Times NW Source and is regularly
