The newest lighthouse in the Netherlands. Constructed in 1974 on the entrance to the port of Rotterdam.

This tower is the last large coast lighthouse which has been built in the Netherlands. He has been build during the construction of the 'Maasvlakte', because the lighthouse of 'Hoek van Holland' was becomming to much inland from sea. The light in this tower came from the former lighthouse of 'Hoek van Holland'.
