From the website: A movie palace of the 1930s: Local movie impresario John Danz opened the Roosevelt Theater, shown in this photo from Sept. 13, 1937, on Pike Street near Fifth Avenue in 1933. It was originally named the Pike Street Theater but was renamed twice, first the Roosevelt and later The Town. It closed in 1984. (September 19, 2001)
