The “Infinity” sculpture in the main academic quad (more correctly known as “Construction #105”) was created by Jose de Rivera, and installed when the Henrietta campus opened in 1968.

Located in the main academic quad, this sculpture of a mobius strip is often refered to as the "Infinity" sculpture, even though its actual name is "Construction #105".
The sculpture has a motor in it, which was repaired after student fundraising in 1999. It rotates at a slow speed throughout the day. There are no plaques about the sculpture.
The piece is a stainless steel and black granite sculpture 19' x 8' x 2 1/2'. It is located in the academic quad on the West side of the RIT Campus in Henrietta, Rochester, NY.
