Long Description:Sea World in San Diego, CA is home to at least four different aquariums.
It includes Shark Encounter - wher you come face-to-face with sharks of all shapes and sizes. This 280,000-gallon attraction features a 57-foot, walk-through acrylic tube running the length of the sharks' habitat. As you travel through the sharks' amazing world, you can view hundreds of fascinating sand tiger, bonnethead, blacktip and whitetip sharks.
Sea World is also home to Freshwater Aquarium - The species found here are representative of those found in the continents of North America, South America, Asia, Africa and Australia. Some of the fish species on display include four-eyed fish, electric eel and freshwater stingrays.
Aquarium de la Mer is home to many exotic and beautiful creatures, from tiny seahorses to the giant Pacific Octopus. Also, other fascinating creatures include venomous but beautiful lionfish, swell sharks and delicate moon jellyfish.
World of the Sea Aquarium features a tropical display of warm water fish found in many areas of the world including the Caribbean Sea, South Pacific, Gulf of California, Gulf of Mexico and the Indian Ocean. World of the Sea Aquarium also has a local marine fish display, which simulates what guest were to see if they were to snorkel or scuba dive off the coast of San Diego.
