At the heart of the Downtown Triangle Park, is the Navel cannon that was installed in 1909, and its beautiful eight sided limestone bandstand erected in 1913 as a Soldiers Memorial, commemorating service by Dundee boys in the Civil and Spanish American Wars.
6.4-Inch Parrott Rifle
Also known as the 100-pounder Parrott Rifle, both Army and Navy models are identical except for patterns of marking. This is the standard pattern produced from 1861-1865 by West Point Foundry. A modified version with extended banding was later produced for the Spanish Navy.
