Long Description:
The Millennium Bell was created by the City of Detroit to ring in
the new millennium. The 10-ton bell, standing in Detroit's Grand
Circus Park, hangs from arches that span 40 feet across and stand
26 feet tall. Since its dedication on December 31, 1999, the
ringing of the bell has become a New Year's Eve tradition for the
city of Detroit.
