Plaque says:
"On this site stood the hovse of Robert Treat Paine, a signer of the Declaration of Independence. In this hovse he died on the 11th of May 1814.
"This tablet is placed here by the City of Boston 1924."
Now, since there is a relatively new building at this location, likely the tablet has been reinstalled.
This tablet is near and on the opposite of the road from the Great Boston Fire tablet.

Visit Instructions:
When logging a Massachusetts Historic Marker, we ask that you not only describe your visit, but to upload a picture from it. The picture does not have to be of the marker - one picture of the marker is enough. But a photo of you standing next to the marker or a photograph the subject of the marker - those are examples of possible photographs to upload.
