Het Thalenpark is een van de vier officiële stadsparken in Drachten en is ongeveer twee voetbalvelden groot. De aanleg van het park vond eind jaren vijftig plaats, en is 1958 ontworpen door de Utrechtse tuinarchitect Hein Otto.Het park is vernoemd naar de, overleden, burgemeester J.L. Thalen.
