I should start by saying a big thank you to 8Nuts MotherGoose for all their help with figuring this out.
On Dec 19th at 5:58pm EST I went out into the front yard to see if I could find the ISS in the sky as it went soaring past.
Not really knowing what to expect, I stood there with my face turned to the sky in approximately the right direction watching the occational plane fly over.
Then I saw it! A bright light, almost like a star. Actually it seemed brighter than a star, moving across the sky from South West to North East (roughly) and lasted a few minutes.
Fortunately my son, Tae Kwon Dude, had joined me and I pointed out the light in the sky to him. He said "Creepy!"
My pass data can be found at Heaven's Above but is summarized below.
Date: 19 DEC 2006
Mag: -0.9

Max. Altitude: 18:02:50 @ Altitude 71 Degrees Azimuth SSE

8Nuts MotherGoose was able to see the same ISS Pass (details upon request).
