"The library is one of Omaha's most impressive architectural landmarks. Designed in 1891-92 by architect Thomas Rogers Kimball, the structure was completed in 1894. The building is a good example of the Second Renaissance Revival style." ~ Nebraska State Historical Society website.

The building was used as a library until 1977. The building was renovated in 1982.
