This gun was cast by the Hughes Foundey near Havre de Grace, Maryland about 1800. It is one of three known to exist of about 180 made. This gun is marked with the Federal Eagle, serial number, and the weight. It weights about 5,000 pounds and is similar to those used in the Frigate Constitution and Old Ironsides.
