[DE] Der Löwe ist das Wappentier der Stadt Weilburg. Der Künstler Dieter Boger schuf die Löwen 2005 anlässlich des Hessentags in Weilburg. Lebensgroß und bunt bemalt sind sie überall in der Stadt zu finden. Der Löwe vor der Polizei-Station steht auf einem Betonsockel, ist blau angemalt und trägt auf dem Rücken den Schriftzug "Polizei".
[ENG] The lion is the heraldic animal of the city of Weilburg. The artist Dieter Boger created the lion in 2005 on the occasion of the Hessentag in Weilburg. Life-size and brightly painted, they can be found everywhere in the city. The lion in front of the police station is standing on a concrete pedestal, painted blue and wearing the words "police" on his back.
