There is some confusing numbering for a few buildings on this block. The National Register's Registration Form (see Optional link) says this:
103-111 East Main.
This is a complex of several buildings which share the address of 107 East Main. Associated with noncontributing address, 113 East Main, is a post 1981 cafe which faces the alley behind these two buildings. While located behind this structure, it has an address of 107 East Main.
Starting at the west end of the block, 103 is still the correct street number. What the Registration Form lists as "105-109 East Main" is the non-contributing building that was once Daube's Department Store. Today, it is the Ardmore Emporium, and its street number is 105.
Today's 107 E Main is described thusly:
9. 111 East Main, c. 1896. Commercial Style. Contributing. This one-story, painted brick building has a flat roof with a short parapet wall finished with coping. The transom area is visible, and there is a wood and metal awning which is shared with 105-9 East Main. Decorative details include a layered brick frieze which creates a name plate area. The glass panel entry door is to the left, recessed and metal frame. The display windows are side-by-side, single pane, metal frame. The bulkhead area is brick.
To complete the narrative, there is one remaining building listed, today's Ten Star Pizza Kitchen at 109 E Main, which is described as a non-contributing building that was originally 113 E Main. The remaining buildings on the block -- 115, 117, and 119-121 -- retain the numbering as described in the Registration Form, while 123-125 (the old Ardmore Sanitarium/Dew Drop Inn) collapsed in 2004.
