Born in Montreal, Quebec, Margaret was educated at McGill Normal School and Bute Home. In 1892, she married Thomas Ahearn, after the death of his first wife. She was author of several papers and contributed to the Women's Canadian History Society, of which she was also president. She was also the president of her Alumnae Association. Ahearn was a member of several other societies, which included the Ottawa Ladies College, the Local Council of Women, the Local Board of Management and the Victorian Order of Nurses, and she was a Director of Women's Art Association.
Né à Montreal, QC, Margaret a été formé aux McGill Normal School et Bute Home. Elle épouse Thomas Ahearn, après le décès de sa première épouse. Elle est l’auteur de plusieurs documents et a contribué à la Women’s Canadian History Society, dont elle était la présidente. Elle était de plus la présidente de son association d’anciennes élèves. Mme Ahearn était membre de diverses sociétés dont l’Ottawa Ladies College, le Local Council of Women, le Local Board of Management et le Victorian Order of Nurses, et elle était directrice du Women’s Art Association.
