It appears that a concerted effort has been made to preserve history on this block of East Main Street. We counted three ghosts in this small area.
The one-story brick building at 217 E. Main has a single storefront, with one entry door flanked by display windows. The clerestory has been covered with horizontal wood planking. On the upper wall, there is a brick panel bordered by projected bricks laid on end. In this painted panel is a ghost reading "Day's Office Machines and Supplies". The building is currently occupied by Great Escape Travel and Southwest Well Service.
