In the beginning of the 20th century, Juan-les-Pins developed to a famous seaside resort for wealthy people. Although these glorious times are past, Juan-les-Pins still is a popular destination among tourists and the jet-set for the fine grained sand beaches and sunny weather. The yearly jazz festival Jazz à Juan is held here since 1960 and led to additional prominence of the town.
