Griffith Observatory Sundial - Sundials on Waymarking.com

I've always found this ring style sundial quite interesting. It can be found at the Griffith Observatory in Griffith Park. Since it is outside in front of the observatory it is available when the observatory is closed, but not at night unless you are visiting to observatory. But since sundials don't work at night you probably won't visit at night . However, unless you have observatory reservations to take the shuttle bus to the observatory you will have to hike there from elsewhere in the park.

If you want visit the observatory, the hours are:

Weekdays (Tuesday-Friday)
Open Noon - 10:00 p.m.

Weekends (Saturday-Sunday)
Open 10:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.

There is no admission charge, but due to the increase in visitors following the renovation, reservations are required. More information is available at the official observatory website.
