On May 24, 2002, this building was renamed the "Ron Kolbus Lakeside Centre". It was dedicated by his worship Bob Chiarelli, Mayor of the City of Ottawa, in memory of Ron Kolbus, former City of Ottawa Councillor 1994-2000, for his outstanding achievements and community leadership.
Le 4 mai 2002, cet immeuble a été rebaptisé « Centre Lakeside Ron Kolbus ». Son honneur le maire d’Ottawa, Bob Chiarelli, l’a dédié à Ron Kolbus, conseiller de la Ville d’Ottawa de 1994 à 2000, pour
ses réalisations exceptionnelles et son action comme dirigeant communautaire.
