This Bonnie Road LFL unit is a few blocks east of the boat launch, restaurants and Colorado River area that is a popular recreational and commercial area within the Terrytown neighborhood in Austin, TX. Because of the restricted parking situation in this section of the neighborhood, free curb parking is very difficult to find at or near this community book exchange box. There is normal (free) curb parking a few block east of this exact location, so a short walk of about two block is highly recommended. During the weekends, parking may get farther away by another block or so.
Based upon its low registration number, this Little Free Library is a seasoned veteran. The sponsors have been overseeing this little library for quite some time now and based upon location and traffic flow that must pass by it, this free book exchange must have high visibility and quick turn over of the books taken and the books returned or added. At the time of this posting, there unit had an ample number of novels and books of assorted topics for the general public's interest.
The concept of the Little Free Library is for people within a community to stop by the unit and examine the selections at the time. If you see a book you'd like to read, feel free to take it out and take it with you. If you have books at home that you have read, you are encouraged to take these books to a Little Free Library and donate them into that unit's book selection. This concept is summarized as: Take A Book: Return a Book. Feel free to take a book you want to read, and feel free to return a book (add a book) to this exchange unit or any others you know of. Your contribution of books keeps the sections varied and keeps the little libraries filled with book for others. Its is a win-win situation.
