The Writer's Desk is a sculpture at the NE corner of the Imaginon Children's Library, done by Larry Kirkland in 2005.
This sculpture consists of objects that might be found on a writer's desk. A bronze quill pen sticks up from an inkwell, atop a stack of books, surrounded by typewriter keys, pencils and hand stamps.
Since this strip was published on Christmas Day, Zippy had come to visit because Santa had brought him a new pencil and sheet of paper.
