EN The archives of Saint Peter's Basilica commemorate the construction of an organ in 1555. During the revolution, it disappeared like all the others in Avignon.

In 1819, Saint Pierre Church entrusted the construction of a new organ to Ludovivico Plantanida, a Milanese organ builder

In 1862, the Toulouse organ builder Théodore Puget completed the Plantanida organ. The instrument then had 2 keyboards, 25 stops and a 20 note pedalboard. The organ was restored again by the Puget house in 1892 and 1925. Currently, it has three keyboards, 37 stops and a 30 note pedalboard.
