This community free book exchange is a unique design, looking like a mini cathedral, similar to the Thorncrown Chapel in Eureka Springs, AR that I visited in August 2019. The book exchange unit is raised to about waist high on four long, thick legs. The body of the box in which the books are placed is of clear plexiglass and has an unusually steeply sloped, high roof above the top of the books. It would make a great fairy castle! The capacity of the book exchange holds about a dozen regular sized pulp fiction novels, whether romances, mysteries or Sy-Fy genres. At the time of this posting, all the books available were more for casual reading, such as you'd take on an airplane to read during casual trip. It was filled with books ready to take or exchange.
The concept of the Little Free Library community book exchange is that visitors are encouraged to Take a Book: Return a Book. That is, feel free to remove a book that you find of interest and take it to read. If you can remember to bring a book you have already read with you, please swap or exchange your book for the book you remove. You can take without giving back, or you can donate a book without taking any others. This keeps the books in circulation and offers a variety of material to read.
