The text on the historical marker is: Kenton Hundred-Created in 1869 by joining of western halves of Duck Creek and Little Creek Hundreds. Is bounded on north by Blackbird Hundred in New Castle County, on east by Duck Creek and Little Creek Hundreds, on south by East Dover and West Dover Hundreds and on west by Maryland Line.
Erected 1932 by Historical Markers Commission. (Marker Number KC-6.)
This marker was refurbished in October 2014 as the original marker in 1932 was totally illegible.
