Neoclassical jail is on the NE corner of the courthouse square. It was used until 1939 when the jail was moved to the 4th floor of the current courthouse. Currently used by Childress County Adult Probation Dept.

"Two-story rectangular plan, stucco exterior, porch with Doric columns. Jail was the library at one point and a museum. The building retains original wood windows, jail cell components and light switches on the interior."
