Turn East off of Broadway Street onto E. Oakview Place and drive to the ninth (9th) house on the right side of Oakview. On the left side of the house when facing it, this free community book exchange is just a few feet from the curb. The post and box are painted gray while the door trim is a light blue and the roof is black. These colors are coordinated with those of the sponsor's house. This book exchange appeared full of a variety of books at the time this waymark was entered.
The concept of the free neighborhood book exchange, such as this one registered with the LittleFreeLibrary.org, is to encourage reading at all levels for all ages. The idea is to give the community a chance to exchange books that suits the interests of those who stop by. The slogan for the Little Free Library is: Take a Book: Leave a Book. This means you are free to take a book to read with no obligations, but it would be nice if you'd be willing to leave a book behind which you have already read and would be willing to share with others. You can read the book taken and then pass it on to a different Little Free Library, or return it to the same one. Enjoy.
