[FR] Depuis son ouverture, le Carré Plantagenêt s’est imposé au sein de la ville du Mans comme un espace culturel incontournable, lieu de découverte de l’histoire de son territoire, lieu d’apprentissage pour les scolaires, de partage pour les visiteurs et de découverte de l'ailleurs par le partenariat instauré avec et le musée du quai Branly-Jacques-Chirac.
Le trésor de monnaies cénomanes découvert sur les bords de l'Huisne en 1997, la Vénus de Rextuganos, la corne à boire en verre, le suaire de Saint Bertrand ou encore le trésor de Coëffort et l’émail Plantagenêt constituent les objets-phares de ses collections.
[EN] Since its opening, the Carré Plantagenêt has established itself within the city of Le Mans as an essential cultural space, place of discovery of the history of its territory, place of learning for school children, sharing for visitors and discovery of other places through the partnership established with the musée du quai Branly-Jacques-Chirac.
The treasure of coins found on the banks of the Huisne in 1997, the Venus Rextuganos, the glass drinking horn, the shroud of Saint Bertrand or the Coëffort's treasure and plantagenet enamel are the most important objects in its collections.
