Prasonisi (also Prassoníssi) cape is the southernmost part of the island of Rhodes. A popular stopping point for tourists for a scenic photo opportunity.
There are no information signs here. Most tourists are on bus tours, so the tourguide would have mentioned it along the route.
The reason for stopping? This is Prasonisi Beach, where two seas meet: the Aegean Sea and the Mediterranean. Worth seeing because it is one of a kind where you can hop from one sea to the next.
In the photo below you can see the Aegean Sea on the left and the Mediterranean on the right.
In the far distance, very faint on the horizon, the island of Karpathos, the second largest of the Greek Dodecanese islands (some 40 miles away)
