This benchmark is located at the curb of 811 30th Street (near the entrance of a private residence) in Bryan, Texas. It is not listed in the NGS database -- probably because the original horizontal reference mark is considered destroyed/removed.

No datasheet could be found for this particular BM in NOAA's NGS database, but one of its associated stations -- BM0038 ("BRYAN RM 2") -- may offer a few clues as to what happened to the original "BRYAN" triangulation disk:

* From its NGS 1985 description: "BRYAN HAS BEEN MOVED BY CONSTRUCTION WORK IN THE AREA. THE MARK WAS USED AS AN RM FOR THE NEW STATION. A POSITION WAS PUT ON THE MARK FOR USE BY THE CITY. STATION IS LOCATED ON THE SOUTHWEST SIDE OF THE GROUNDS OF THE FANNIN SCHOOL, ALONG THE NORTHEAST SIDE OF 30TH STREET AND 52 METERS (170.6 FT) SOUTHEAST OF THE STATION---BRYAN 2---"

In other words, the original "BRYAN" triangulation station was removed and replaced by a new one named "BRYAN 2" (at a new location?) and subsequently "BRYAN RM 2" was kept in the annals to reference "BRYAN 2". For further details on "BRYAN RM 2", see the following link: (visit link)

All that said, the original Azimuth mark -- i.e. THIS benchmark in question -- was no longer applicable and therefore no longer listed. It was, however, recovered in good condition.
