The elegant lines of Renton Fire Station No. 1 served as the city's main fire hall from 1942 until 1978. Its heritage is interesting as it was one of the last Works Program Administration's projects for revitalizing America from the the economic devastation of 1930s.
Today it continues to serve Renton as the city's museum.
