[EN] The triumphal gate of the parish enclosures, commonly known as the triumphal arch (it is a passage made up of two pillars bordering a paved alley, but sometimes it takes a monumental look evoking a richly decorated triumphal arch) and in Breton Porz ar maro (literally "door of death", because it is the one by which all the deceased of the parish passed before being buried in the church, the places.) The funeral processions sometimes borrowed the "paths of the dead" ("streat ann ankou "in Breton, the way that the deceased usually used to go to the church), then crossed this door according to customary rules peculiar to each parish. The triumphal door usually opens to the west (the sunset symbolizing death ), the side on which the ossuary often stands and the crosses of the tombs are oriented like those of the crosses.
