The Bessie Fire Station is located in the one-block downtown area of town. A portion of the station is housed in a one-story brick building with two original storefronts. Today, one storefront has a large overhead door, and the other is partially blocked in with a smaller overhead door. Adjacent to this building on the north is a one-story metal building with a large two-bay overhead door.
Bessie is an agricultural community of about 180 residents located in southwestern Oklahoma off Highway 183. This is an all-volunteer department which has 911 emergency service. Their phone number is 580--337-3333.
