Memorial on the waterfront in Rhodes Town close to the entrance of Mandraki Harbour, which commemorates those who were "Killed for the Liberation of the Islands of the North and South Aegean during the years 1943-1945".
It is topped with a bronze female figure, holding a laurel wreath, often referred to as winged peace. In this case represents Victory and is typical to many British war memorials.
Greek, British and French forces, as well the inhabitants of the islands are honored.
There are several inscribed plaques in different languages on the base of the memorial.
