Saint Casimir Church, located at 629 Hess Ave. in Erie, PA, was built between 1914 and 1916. Originally a Polish parish with a school and convent, St. Casimir's was merged with nearby St. Ann and Holy Family parishes in 1992 to form Our Mother of Sorrows Parish. Largely spared during the era of renovations of Catholic churches that took place after the second Vatican Council, St. Casimir's still has a beautiful high altar and communion rail. Today, St. Casimir's is the location for Our Mother of Sorrows Sunday Masses, including the traditional Latin Mass, celebrated on Sundays at 9:30 am.
